Ludo (also known as Mensch)
is an ancient board game for two to four players, in which the players race their four tokens from start to finish according to dice rolls. Apart from helping children lear n how to make friends and enjoy company, Ludo teaches children to work things out for themselves.
How to play
The aim of the game is to get all the four playing tokens around the board and move them into the center.
Each player chooses a colored home area on the game board and sets the corresponding four colored playing tokens on the area. If only two players are playing, then they can play with two colors.
Each player must roll a six to move a playing piece from the home area and start the game. (If you roll a six, you may re-roll the dice as a bonus.)
The players alternate turns in a clockwise direction.
Players must always move a token according to the dice value rolled, and if no move is possible, pass their turn to the next player.
If you land on a square which is occupied by someone else's playing token, you capture it. The opponentis token is sent back to their home area and has to start again from the beginning.
The first player to get all four playing tokens from around the board and into the center is
the winner.
